About Sound Hearing

Meet the team!

Bailey Whitefield

Bailey is a Hearing Instrument Specialist and the owner of Sound Hearing Inc. With a career in the audiology field that began in 2009, she has dedicated herself to delivering exceptional, personalized hearing care in Northwestern Ontario. After earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lakehead University, she completed the Hearing Aid Practitioner program at Grant MacEwan University and has been serving clients in Thunder Bay since 2017.
Hearing healthcare is deeply personal to Bailey as a hearing aid wearer herself. Having experienced lifelong ear troubles and hearing loss, she understands firsthand the impact hearing challenges can have on confidence, connection, and quality of life. Those early experiences in ENT offices and hearing test booths inspired her to pursue a career in audiology.
Born and raised in Fort Frances, Bailey values the small town spirit of Northwestern Ontario and strives to make every client feel welcome and at ease. Outside of the clinic, Bailey is a proud new mom to her son Carter and enjoys spending time with her partner Arnold, their two labs George and Ellie, and soaking up family time outdoors or at a baseball game.

Sue Lemieux

Sue is our Client Care Coordinator and has been working with Sound Hearing since we opened in 2022. She keeps the clinic organized and running smoothly, making sure every client is taken care of from the moment they call to the time they walk out the door. Practical, efficient, and knowledgeable, Sue is always ready to help.
In addition to coordinating appointments and supporting our team, Sue assists with hearing aid cleaning and minor repairs, helping clients keep their devices working their best. Outside of the clinic, she’s a devoted dog lover — especially when it comes to her beloved chihuahuas. We always welcome your furry companions to come for a visit when you’re in for appointments!

Carter – The Real Boss

Carter joined Sound Hearing in 2025 and was immediately promoted to CEO. His responsibilities include greeting clients with a smile, keeping the team on their toes and ensuring the clinic environment meets his strict standards for fun and laughter. While he may be the youngest member of the team, he takes his role in boosting morale very seriously.
Though still new to the industry, Carter brings fresh perspective, boundless enthusiasm, and excellent listening skills to the team. When he’s not overseeing clinic operations, Carter enjoys playtime, cuddles, and spending time with his parents and their two dogs at home.
